Based on the true story of Bai Xiulan, Party Branch Secretary and Director of Xuexixiang Community in Beiyuanmen Subdistrict, Lianhu District, Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, the film *Warm Sunshine* depicts how Bai Xiulan rooted herself at the grassroots level for forty years, devoting the best years of her life to the community and its residents. She helped residents resolve housing disputes, upgraded community power supply, cared for elderly people living alone, and funded underprivileged students. Even when her own family suffered a major tragedy, she still kept the community in her heart.
