The film tells the story of Anatoly Evgenievich Kurkovsky, head of the medical unit for people experiencing homelessness at Botkin Hospital in St. Petersburg. This unique facility, the only one of its kind in Russia, was established 23 years ago with the participation of the international organization Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). Every day, dramatic, sometimes touching, and occasionally comical events unfold here.
